The evaluation of remote sensing satellite system effectiveness is a complex problem that is multi-subject, multi-factor, multi-layer, and multi-object. As a first look, the evaluation of remote sensing satellite effectiveness appears corresponding to the general concept of satellite product quality. The purpose of this study is to present a simple and metric methodology for evaluating remote sensing satellite effectiveness prior to launch and during the course of an individual mission, and to relate these evaluations in a meaningful manner of the product quality parameters, satellite availability, satellite performance, and predicted satellite reliability.
