The paper presents the results of air flow research around the rotorcraft. The studies focused on the measurement of the air flow velocity based on particle image velocimetry. According to the research, the velocity profiles in the symmetry plane of the tested object were determined for the angle of attack at 0° and two velocities in the wind tunnel i.e. v=0 m/s and 12.5 m/s. Identification of velocity values as a coordinate function of the applied reference system also allows for determining the impact range of the pushing rotor and the body of the tested object.
