An experimental study of the multi-modal marker positioning system "M-CubITS" is carried out. With "M-CubITS", multi-modal markers are arranged according to the M-sequences and the row of the "M-CubITS" markers is detected by the user's camera. The positioning system determines the position and direction of the camera from comparison with a database. This system uses hue and saturation of the BMP information inputted from the camera, detects markers, judges 0 or 1 with the value of the hue and saturation, and inputs this value into the shift register. After the position in the M-sequence is decided, the position of the camera from the marker is calculated back and is displayed on a map. Performance evaluation is carried out in the processing time of this system and mean distance.
