Metal-cylinder-leakage is a key factor in the airtightness detection of the launch cylinder. Traditional leak detection methods are point-to-point detection which greatly affected by human factors. To solve the problem in checking tiny-cylinder-leakage under little pressure difference, this paper proposes a tiny leakage detection and recognition algorithm. Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) method and average spectrum analysis were used to process the data, and the tiny cylinder leakage detection was realized. Experimental results reviewed that by introducing the proposed algorithm, the leakage signal could be identified by 11dB leakage during the frequency range of 420Hz~600Hz. Leakage data under different conditions are collected through field experiments, and the rationality of the algorithm is verified.
