The method for discrimination of the logical value of the binary image behind a light scattering medium is to detect a contrast of interference signals obtained by a scanning reference mirror, and to perform a threshold operation for the contrast. We call this method the contrast discrimination method. Moreover, to overcome the spatial variation of the light scattering medium, the spatial coding technique is applied to the binary image. Binary image behind a light scattering medium is detected using low-temporal coherence interferometer. To evaluate the measurement system, a bit error rate (BER) is applied.
