In this Age of Emerging Technologies the idea of Wireless Power Transfer and the use of autonomous drones for various applications has come into the spotlight. This paper proposes the idea of Wireless Power Transfer for charging the batteries of electric powered Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAV).The proposed wireless charging system for drones have been performed by considering Aurelia X6 Pro and it operates at a high frequency of 85 KHZ with the air gap of 100 mm separating the Transmitter coil(Placed at the charging station) and the receiver coil(Placed inside the drone to enable wireless charging). This paper presents the concepts of coil design and coil tuning to design a better charging system for UAVS. This has been achieved using Ansys Maxwell Software for design of various coils and Lt spice for tuning the circuit. The WPT system proposed is achieved using Magnetic resonant coupling with two coil WPT system using Series-Series Topology (SS Topology).
