In this paper we numerically evaluate the quality of reconstructed 3D objects in a correlation-based optical reconstruction system by use of encrypted digital holograms. The secure 3D display system consists of a recording system and a reconstruction system. Numerical results showed that a two-dimensional image with a random phase distribution located in a three-dimensional space was reconstructed successfully by the use of the correct key hologram in the reconstruction. We have investigated the influence of quantization of joint power spectrum in an OA-SLM on the quality of the reconstructed image. Numerical results showed that 10 bit per pixel in OA-SLM is required for the used data.
