The disinfection and sterilization work in public places is laborious and the disinfectants used can be harmful to human health. In order to reduce the risks of disinfection work and minimize the waste of manpower resources, an unmanned disinfection and sterilization vehicle is designed. This vehicle allows people to monitor the disinfection work in real-time through devices such as smartphones and tablets, achieving fast and efficient disinfection. The designed unmanned vehicle system is based on a microcontroller as the core, with an L298N motor driver module controlling the motors for each wheel to achieve the steering motion of the vehicle. The disinfection system is linked with a camera, enabling the synchronized operation of the disinfection nozzle and the camera gimbal. The vehicle is equipped with an infrared obstacle avoidance module, allowing it to autonomously avoid obstacles. An ESP32-CAM is used as the remote communication system for the vehicle, and the pressure of the disinfection nozzle can be adjusted to switch between surface disinfection and precise disinfection methods. The captured images are transmitted to the operators via Wi-Fi, allowing them to observe the surrounding environment through a movable camera. This system can effectively perform surface disinfection and precise disinfection tasks in the front area of the vehicle, with high stability and efficiency, achieving excellent disinfection results.
