Traffic congestion in cities poses a significant threat to the timely response of emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire engines, leading to potentially life-threatening delays. To address this problem, this paper proposes an Intelligent Traffic Signal Management System (ITSMS) designed to identify ambulances in real-time and adjust traffic signals to prioritize their passage. The system employs an RF Transmitter along with a compass module to ensure reliable detection of emergency vehicles as they approach intersections. Once an ambulance is identified, the system dynamically adjusts traffic light pattern to create a clear path, allowing the emergency vehicle to move swiftly through congested areas. By implementing this intelligent traffic control system into the current framework, it can efficiently manage overall traffic flow while giving priority to emergency vehicles. This enhances the efficiency of emergency response operations by reducing the time taken for emergency vehicles to reach their destinations. The implementation of this Intelligent Traffic Signal Management System (ITSMS) offers balance between prioritizing emergency services and minimizing inconvenience for the general public.
