To verify and optimize the design of Flight Deck Alert System, the system was simulated and integrated into a virtual integration environment. The simulation program performs logic calculation, alert inhabitation, and priority ordering by parameters sent by aircraft system models. A virtual cockpit control panel is developed to realize human-machine interactions of displays alert messages and drives annunciators while alerts are activated. Alerts are triggered by injecting failures into aircraft models. Test results show that the simulation program can provide an intuitive way of system optimization in the detailed design of aircraft.
