We study the phase characteristic of optically addressed light valve (OALV) at wavelength of 635 nm using polarimetric measurement method, and obtain a phase shift of about 6¿ for a full range of blue light gray level intensities. We make use of this phase-intensity relationship to generate radially polarized light.
