The problem of set-membership state estimation for a discrete-time linear system with linear state equality constraints is considered. A model reduction based set-membership state estimation recursive algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm can reduce the conservativeness of an existing full space estimation method, enhance the numerical stability, and further reduce the computational load. Two simulation examples are shown to verify the estimation performance of the algorithm.
