Aero-engine is a complicated, time varying, non-linear multivariable control object with uncertainty over full flight envelope. The control algorithm design using traditional control theory depends on the accuracy model of the object which is difficult to obtain. So, the control algorithm for aero-engine based on artificial neural network and genetic algorithm is studied. The rotor speed control system for aero-engine is proposed using genetic optimized neural network. The weights of the feed forward neural network are optimized using genetic algorithm. Simulation results indicate a satisfying capability of the aero-engine control system in full envelope.
