In the military domain, the need to enhance European capabilities in Space Situational Awareness (SSA) is linked to the development of an advanced SSA Command and Control System. This paper discusses the current scenario highlighting gaps and recommends directions of technological development and innovation. In particular, advanced functions and services related to threat assessment, maneuver analysis, satellite operative status assessment, and support to military operations, are highlighted.
