A Vehicular Micro Cloud (VMC) is a group of connected vehicles collaborating over the vehicular network. One use case enabled by VMC is collaborative data upload, where micro cloud members work together to upload data efficiently. We previously demonstrated the feasibility of this use case using a simulation of downtown Los Angeles. In this paper, we enhance that simulation by introducing data replication, allowing multiple micro cloud members to store and forward copies of data to improve reliability. Our results show that replication increases the data upload ratio by 9% on a daily basis and 29% weekly, with the tradeoff of increased in-vehicle storage usage.
