The article analyzes the road vehicles’ intellectualization directions. Since the intellectualization of vehicles is associated with the complication of their design, it is necessary to improve diagnostic systems to prevent premature failure. Preventing sudden vehicles failures is possible with the timely determination of their technical conditions. Ways to increase operational reliability of trucks by improving their technical condition’s diagnosing system, as well as the existing diagnosing methods are analyzed. Existing organizational schemes of vehicles’ diagnostics are considered. On the basis of this analysis, an interactive complex diagnostic system based on monitoring the residual service life of vehicle’s units and assemblies is proposed. It consists of a diagnostic server, autonomous information and diagnostic units and display, and control unit. The structural-investigative diagnostic model for trucks’ clutch with a mechanical drive is developed. The article explores the possibility of applying vibrodiagnostic methods for assessing the technical state and predicting the residual life of the vehicle’s clutch in operational conditions. Authors develop a mathematical interpretation of the clutch’s structural-investigative diagnostic model. Currently, a module to collect and process information has been developed. Operational tests of vehicles after installation of sensors were carried out together with the manufacturer PC "KAMAZ".
