At present, the deformation monitoring of long-distance water diversion projects has incomplete monitoring information and low degree of automation. Comprehensively using the advantages of satellite interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR), unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) remote sensing and BeiDou navigation satellite system (BDS)/global navigation satellite system (GNSS)) technologies, the construction of a system for an integrated air-space-ground safety monitoring system consisting of satellite InSAR global survey-UAV remote sensing local detailed measurement-ground Beidou/GNSS fixed-point monitoring can realize full coverage, high precision and automation of safety monitoring for long-distance water diversion projects. With a case study on the Central Route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project, this paper details the analysis of application effects of the aforementioned technologies in pilot sites to provide a technical reference for the transformation and upgrading of automation for deformation monitoring in long-distance water diversion projects.
