We report the results of theoretical and experimental studies of absorption efficiency factor (AEF) for a thin platinum cylinder in 10-cm wavelength range. The bolometric effect was employed for measuring the power absorbed by a platinum cylinder. In the wavelength range of 7.5-11 cm the experimental results are in good agreement with theoretical data.
