How to make urban rail transit truly integrate into urban space and promote sustainable urban development is worthy of in-depth study. This paper first analyses the rail transit station-city integration model, and then, by dividing the design of stations into three elements: traffic organization, spatial design and place creation, discusses the design strategy of stations under this model. Taking Lu Xiao Station of Chengdu Railway Line 6 as an example with the existing TOD model, based on the investigation and data review, the existing problems of the station are summarized and analyzed. Finally, some suggestions are put forward in terms of the functional positioning of the station, the “L” shaped interchange design of the station concourse, the planning of the slow-moving system and strategies of operation, planning and construction.
