Order n de Bruijn sequences are the period 2/sup n/ binary sequences produced by an n stage feedback shift register. At present, determining the weight class distribution of the generator functions is computationally intractable for all but the smallest n. This paper combines graphical, combinatorial, and numerical techniques to develop a method, illustrated by n=7, that estimates an unknown de Bruijn weight class distribution.
