Vehicular Micro Cloud (VMC) is a group of connected vehicles where vehicles collaborate over wireless networks. One potential use case of VMC is road incident monitoring in which the latest information around the road incident is shared with cars before they reach the incident location. In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of such a service by a VMC. Connected vehicles capture the information around the road incident, and the information is shared with others over the VMCs. Through field trials with multiple test vehicles, we form a VMC over a Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) network and demonstrate that communication overhead associated with incident monitoring could be reduced by collaborative storage and download by VMCs.
