This paper proposes a Beidou-based inland navigation congestion status analysis method, which includes obtaining the number of ships in the waterway and the location information of each ship through the Beidou navigation system; calculating the congestion density of the waterway according to the number of ships and the location information; obtaining the ship flow and average speed of the ship in the waterway, and training the waterway state model of the waterway where the ship is located in combination with the congestion density; setting the waterway state threshold, comparing the waterway state model generation result with the state threshold, and determining the navigation state. The present invention can judge in real time whether the waterway is in a congested state and conduct effective regulation. This method can support the development of technologies such as intelligent ship lock passing and intelligent scheduling.
