In this paper efficient second harmonic generation of a partially end-pumped electro-optically Q-switched Nd:YVO/sub 4/ slab laser with a temperature-controlled LBO crystal is presented. Using this method, a maximum green output power of 17.7 W, optical conversion efficiency of 60% and a high repetition can be obtained.
