Spoofing detection methods based on the principle of angle-of-arrival discrimination usually rely on the knowledge or estimation of the baseline to satellite geometry. In this contribution a spoofing detection method is described, which does not rely on the knowledge or estimation of this baseline and satellite geometry. The proposed method relies on the difference in the probability distribution of the phase observations under normal and spoofing conditions. An experiment, based on two low cost GNSS receivers shows a good performance with a very low false alarm rate and a detection rate in the order of 99% or higher.
