This paper reports the experimental and theoretical vibrational spectra of phenylalanine in the frequency range 0.2-2.2. The absorption peaks are found at 1.23 THz and 1.99 THz by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS). The vibrational modes of phenylalanine molecule are performed using the Hartree Fock method (HF) at the 6-31G level. The experimental results show significantly agreement with the theoretical results simulated by Gaussian 03 in THz range. This study presents the torsional vibrational modes of the sample.
