In this paper a virtual test driver will be presented which has been developed to carry out standard test maneuvers. The virtual test driver must be able to effectively control a road vehicle under critically stable driving conditions. Results obtained from the virtual test driver will be used to evaluate the performance of a race car under development as an entrant to the Formula Student competition.
