This paper presents a balanced dipole antenna fed by coplanar strips for dual-band applications. The bandwidths can be determined from return loss which was less than 10 dB. The operation in the WLAN frequency bands were 2.40–2.484 GHz and 5.15–5.35 GHz, respectively. Moreover, the antenna is a simple planar structure and occupies a small size of about 48 mm × 16 mm including the finite ground coplanar strip line feeding.
