Manufacturers from all over the world are vying now to create the most cutting-edge digital cockpits for their next vehicles. These characteristics are derived mostly from other related technologies now in use by consumers. As high-tech safety systems are being built into automobiles these days, the future of the cockpit is changing. Users will expect connected, secure, and improved mobility interfaces from the digital cockpit of the future. Without sacrificing security or performance, a digital cockpit controller system allows for the simultaneous operation of Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, and ADAS functions in real time from a single SoC. It is capable of powering several HuD and other high-resolution monitors. New connected features, intuitive HMI, on-the-go entertainment, and safety features are drawing in customers, making it crucial for OEMs to set themselves apart in the realm of Cockpit electronics. The modern digital cockpit is defined by features such as internet-connected infotainment systems with a virtual assistant and streaming media, larger and higher resolution 3D displays, all-digital instrument clusters, Augmented reality-based head-up displays, and other advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like surround-view, eMirror, etc. Expansion opportunities exist for suppliers of linked digital cockpits thanks to the development of a cockpit domain controller architecture that consolidates these disparate functions onto a single multi-core SoC and ECUs. Centralized computer technologies that merge previously independent fields into the automobile's control panel are the driving force behind the current mobility revolution.
