Modern public transport is a basic precondition for the development of sustainable mobility in urban agglomerations. This article will focus on designing public transport stops and stations from different perspectives. Modern public transport needs to be welcomed and accessible to all users, supporting the conditions for a higher share of public transport on modal-split as well as certain social aspects. Stations and stops form an important part of the public space. They are focal points that contribute to developing and bringing life to the public space. All this has an extensive social aspect including quality of living, the inclusion of different population groups as well as economic aspects.
