The second harmonic generation (SHG) is one of the second order nonlinear optical phenomena that can occur in biological tissues, which contain chiral biological molecules such as collagen fibers. The optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a powerful technology that can produce high resolution cross-sectional images of biological tissues. Recently these two technologies were combined and the second harmonic (SH) OCT was introduced. We demonstrate that the SH-OCT can be configured in spectral domain so that the higher sensitivity and speed can be achieved.
