A feature of the composite right/ left-handed (CRLH) transmission line is the zeroth-order resonance. This property can be used to create a novel zeroth-order band pass filter. Comparing with the traditional filter, the center frequency of the filter presented here is independent on the size of the filter, and the loss is relatively low. The experimental result of the filter are in good agreement with the simulation result.
