The aim of this work is to design a planar frequency selective absorber for 2–7 GHz frequencies. Many military and indoor communication technologies are defined in these frequencies. Absorption frequency behavior is achieved by using lossy periodic conducting geometries over a conducting sheet in the proposed design. A thinner and having a more bandwidth design is achieved comparing with Salisbury absorber. The performance of this absorber is maintained over a wide incidence angles (0–45 degrees) and for both TE and TM polarizations.
