In general, all tasks that urge any type of parameter estimation from several sources can benefit from the use of information /data fusion methods. The fused data is highly appreciated because of less probability error detection with high reliability using data from several distributed sources. Data Fusion algorithms are important because of its less probability error. Implementation of these algorithms as standalone hardware requires their conversion to either ASICs or FPGA. But fabrication of ASIC require sophisticated foundry facilities that are not easily accessible. FPGAs provide a good alternative for such implementations. Therefore in this paper, foundations of FPGA implementation of MATALB algorithm is showcased with the help of an illustrated synthetic problem. This will enable the researchers to realize the implementation of various algorithms developed for different applications.
