The use of motor vehicle as a mean of moving goods and services from one location to another is the backbone of transportation. There have been a progress of low emission from vehicle with power supply system in recent years. This is due to rising in cost of fossil fuels and the growing concern over their damaging effects on the environment. Diversification of vehicle propulsion systems seems to be important for the generation of an effective and secure of global transportation system. These can be achieved by alternatively simultaneously developing internal combustion and electric vehicles (both battery and driven by fuel-cells) and hydrogen-powered vehicles. This article provides a summary of commercial cars using internal combustion hydrogen engines that are currently on the market. The work's primary objective is to present technological advancements from the perspective of commercializing fully assembled hydrogen-powered vehicles or providing technical solutions that allow the utilization of hydrogen-containing fuels in internal combustion engines. Vehicles specifically designed for using hydrogen and bi-fuels, and vehicles with engines that burn a combination of conventional fuels and hydrogen are all covered in the study. It provides an overview of fundamental technological factors and advancements made by top automakers.
