Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) has developed into Distributed Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA 2G). As the typical characteristic of Distributed Integrated Modular Avionics (DIMA), dynamic reconfiguration has become the research emphasis. The next generation of IMA platforms should include reconfiguration capabilities in order to limit the effect of hardware failures on aircraft operational reliability. The Architecture Analysis and Design Language (AADL) could brace the IMA physical architecture's design and simulation effectively. This paper proposes the DIMA platform functional architecture framework based on the analysis of reconfiguration requirements, and applies AADL action model to build the functional action features of DIMA dynamic reconfiguration, such as failure detection and recognition, search and execution of reconfiguration strategy, and also analyze its real-time performance to provide design basis for the realization of DIMA dynamic reconfiguration.
