With the maturity and popularity of UAV technology, the application of UAVs has gained more and more attention in the past decades in the fields of military, hazardous land exploration, and infrastructure construction. In the actual formation flight of UAVs, the pure azimuth passive positioning technology is used in order to reduce the interference of external signals, which puts higher requirements on the ability of UAVs to determine their own position based on the azimuth information only. The work of this paper is precisely to model the passive signals in the UAV swarm and optimize them step by step, and apply the model to achieve positioning in the face of different restrictions to obtain the positioning method for UAVs in electromagnetic silence.
