The increase in road accidents and non-compliance with safe riding practices highlight the need for intelligent transportation systems. This paper presents an IoT-based motorcycle ignition and safety system designed to monitor rider behavior and vehicle safety in real time. The system incorporates three key functions: helmet detection, alcohol level monitoring, and accident detection. Helmet usage is verified using the RC522 RFID module, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The MQ3 sensor detects alcohol consumption, preventing intoxicated riding. Additionally, the NEO-6MV2 GPS module provides real-time location tracking, while a voltage sensor monitors battery health. A servo motor and an electric throttle replace the conventional throttle, enabling speed regulation through user-defined limits via the Blynk app. The system also integrates remote monitoring through Telegram, sending real-time updates on CO gas levels, alcohol detection, battery status, and GPS coordinates. An emergency override feature allows the vehicle owner to start the motorcycle in critical situations while notifying trusted contacts. By leveraging IoT and smart control mechanisms, this system enhances road safety, promotes responsible riding behavior, and ensures rapid response in emergencies, paving the way for a scalable motorcycle safety model.
