We propose a novel transmission filter with a segmented chirped fiber Bragg grating that can sclect any wavelength channel of an input WDM signal by independent channel switching. Its performance for channel selection, by controlling the piezoelectric transducer attached to the segmented chirped fiber Bragg grating, is experimentally demonstrated.
