Passive location techniques are more and more widely used in various fields such as aviation, aerospace and navigation. A passive detector can only measure the angle of targets, and is unable to obtain the distance information of targets. There are usually two ways to obtain the distance information of targets in a passive system. One is the single platform passive location, which requires the platform to make a special maneuver to get several measurements. The other is the two platforms passive location, which can locate the target in real time by direction cross positioning. Unfortunately, a lot of false intersection points appear and the false tracks produce in multi-targets environment. To solve the problem, this paper puts forward a new passive location system based on three platforms, which can locate the targets by direction cross positioning and remove false points effectively by combining static manner with dynamic one. The implementation mechanism is elaborated and the specific model algorithm is described in detail. At last, the results of simulation are given which prove that the method is very efficient in eliminating false intersection points and finding the true position of targets accurately.
