An information-theoretic waveform design is proposed for Gaussian mixture radar target profiling by maximizing the mutual information between the measurements and the target signal. During gradient optimization, a bandwidth constraint is enforced by introducing a frequency-domain masking operator. Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed waveform design on target profiling.
