This paper highlights optimal route planning for a tourist bus service that operates between Changi Airport and selected hotels in Singapore, with an emphasis on reducing operational costs. We employed two route planning approaches, A* and Dijkstra's algorithms, to create models for the shortest distance. In addition, these models offer alternative paths that avoid Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) costs or peak traffic conditions, or even both. Our findings demonstrate that incorporating real-time fuel cost and traffic data significantly improves route efficiency, offering a cost-efficient approach for bus operators. The implementation successfully reduces costs without compromising service quality, ensuring its applicability in similar metropolitan areas.
