In order to make up for the shortcomings of the vehicle stability control system in the prevention of rollover control, the vehicle lateral stability is further improved and the stability characteristic of the vehicle rollover resistance is studied. The basic principles of vehicle lateral stability control and the important factors affecting vehicle lateral stability are analyzed. The vehicle simulation model including in the transmission system, braking system and tire model, etc. is established by CarSim software. Based on the differential braking, combining the LTR control principle, a vehicle anti-rollover controller is developed. In the controller, the static threshold method is used to control the vehicle lateral stability. The effectiveness of the anti-rollover control strategy based on the differential braking is verified by the vehicle simulation experiments under the serpentine route.
