The purpose of this paper is to introduce a novel bulk acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) based wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) optical routing switch free-space architecture that is designed to greatly suppress leakage noise via both spatial and electronic noise blocking techniques. Such a WDM switch, to the best of the author's knowledge, has not been proposed uses bulk-optics.
