We use the Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) framework to classify and statistically analyze 63 controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) accidents that have occurred in the Chinese general aviation field since 2000. It reveals the human factor causes behind the accidents and provides practical guidance and suggestions for safety management and accident prevention in general aviation enterprises.
