This paper proposes a novel and simple test procedure in order to reproduce the PV generator outputs required by the EN50530 European standard static MPPT efficiency test. The proposed procedure allows defining the PV generator characteristics extracted from the datasheet of the PV inverter to be tested and from the EN50530 standard requirements. Simulations under PSIM software of POWERSYS prove the ability of the proposed algorithm to reproduce the different test scenarios according to the EN50530 standard requirements. Investigations are conducted to compare simulation results and measurements carried out with a PV generator emulator designed in our Laboratory in order to highlight the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
