Optical pump-teraHertz probe spectroscopy is used for investigation of photo-initiated dynamics in semiconductors. The transient far-infrared conductivity spectra are evaluated from measured THz waveforms and interpreted within a developed phenomenological framework methodological aspects are stressed in this contribution.
