A diode-pumped Nd:YVO/sub 4/ picosecond laser oscillator with electro-optical cavity dumping generates pulses with energies of up to 3.5 /spl mu/J/1.8 /spl mu/J at dumping frequencies of 0.4 MHz/1 MHz, respectively.
