The most accident-prone intersections on roadways across the United States are the same intersections where the most drivers are killed in car crashes. These dangerous intersections often place drivers at risk because of obstructions. To reduce accidents at these intersections, the research in this paper suggests a new technological approach in accident prevention. The results of this paper indicate that the use of “vehicle to vehicle communication” and “vehicle to infrastructure communication” could drastically help drivers navigating dangerous intersections.
