We report mode-locked lasers that produce 1-ps, 10-GHz pulses using intracavity pulse compression in photonic crystal fiber (PCF). Moreover, the output pulses were wavelength-shifted by 100 nm and transformed to sub-200-fs-solitons using self-frequency shift in PCF.
