A widely tunable Ce/sup 3+/-/sup Er3+/-ZBLAN fiber laser with 975-nm pumping is demonstrated. Tunable range between 1495 and 1605 nm is attained, which can be expanded further by optimizing wavelength-dependent reflectivity of the cavity mirror.
